ADORATION - CONFESSION - THANKSGIVING - SUPPLICATION

“Reverence for the LORD is the beginning of wisdom. A gOOd understanding have all those that obey his commandments. His praise endures forever.”

(Worship, Repentence, Gratefulness, Requests)

ADORATION - (Worship)

“O worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness.” -1 Chronicles 16:29

“Give to the LORD the glory due His name: worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness.” -Psalm 29:2

“O worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness.” -Psalm 96:9

Psalm 150

A Daily Hallel (Praise). The Dailey Hallel are Psalms 145-150, prayed daily by Orthodox Jews.

Theme: Let Everything that has Breath Praise the LORD. (Verse 6)

1. Praise the LORD! Praise God in His Sanctuary. Praise Him in the firmament of His power.

2. Praise Him for His mighty acts. Praise Him in accordance with His excellent greatness.

3. Praise Him with the sound of the ram’s horn Shofar. Praise Him with the lyre and harp.

4. Praise Him with the tambourine and dancing. Praise Him with string instruments and flutes.

5. Praise Him upon the loud cymbals. Praise Him upon the high sounding cymbals.

6. Let everything that has breath praise the LORD.

CONfeSSION - (RePeNTaNCe)

(On the 11th: Morning Prayer)

Psalm 51

Theme: A Prayer for Forgiveness.

To the Director of Music: a Psalm of David; when Nathan the prophet came to him, after David had gone in to Bathsheba.

1. Have mercy on me, O God, because of Your loving kindness. Because of the multitude of Your tender mercies, blot out my transgressions.

2. Wash my wicked deeds completely from me: cleanse me from my sins.

3. For I admit my transgressions. My sins are always in my thoughts.

4. Against You, You only, I have sinned, and done this evil in Your sight: You will be proved right when You speak, and prevail when You judge. (Quoted in Romans 3:4)

5. I was born with a nature to do evil. From the time my mother conceived me, it has been my nature to be a sinner.

6. You desire truth in my innermost self. Deep within my heart, You shall make me to know wisdom.

7. Purify me with hyssop, and I shall be clean. Wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.

8. Let me hear joy and gladness; let the bones that You have broken now rejoice.

9. Hide Your face from my sins, and blot out all my wicked deeds.

10. Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me.

11. Cast me not away from Your presence. Take not Your Holy Spirit from me.

12. Restore to me the joy of Your salvation, and grant me a willing spirit to obey You.

13. Then I will teach transgressors Your ways. Sinners shall be converted and turn to You.

14. Deliver me from bloodguiltiness, O God of my salvation, and my tongue shall sing of Your righteousness.

15. O LORD, open my lips, and my mouth shall proclaim Your praise.

16. For You do not desire sacrifice, or I would give it. You have no delight in burnt offerings.

17. The sacrifice God desires is a broken spirit; a broken and repentant heart, O God, You will not despise.

18. By Your good favor cause Zion to prosper; build the walls of Jerusalem.

19. Then You shall be pleased with sacrifices offered in the right spirit. Then the upright shall again offer whole burnt offerings of young bulls upon Your altar.

THaNkSGIVING - (GRaTefULNeSS)

“Rejoice always. Pray without ceasing. In every circumstance give thanks. For this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.”

-1 Thessalonians 5:16-17

Psalm 100

Theme: Rejoice and be Thankful to God.

A Psalm of Praise and Thanksgiving for the “Thank Offering.”

1. Make a joyful noise to the LORD, all you lands.

2. Serve the LORD with gladness. Come before His presence with singing.

3. Know that the LORD, He is God. It is He who has made us, and not we ourselves. We are His people and the sheep of His pasture.

4. Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, and into His courtyards with praise. Be thankful to Him, and praise His name.

5. For the LORD is good; His mercy is everlasting, and His truth endures to all generations.

SUPPLICATION - (ReQUeSTS)

“Listen O LORD, to my prayer; and attend to the words of my supplications. In the day of my trouble I will call upon You, for You will answer me.”

-Psalm 86:6-7

“Hear, O LORD, when I cry out with my voice; have mercy on me, and answer me. When You said, ‘Seek My face;’ my heart said to You, ‘Your face, LORD, I will seek.'”

“The LORD is near to all who call upon Him,
To all who call upon Him in truth.”
