In March of 1999, S.G. Preston and his wife Linda Co-Founded The Prayer Foundation and Knights of Prayer Lay Monastic Order,™ an International, Interdenominational Ministry of “Mere Christianity.”
A “Prayer Encouragement” Ministry for all Christians “The Best Prayer Teaching & Resources from All Christian Communions & Eras”
It was the Very First Evangelical Monastic Order on the Internet, and the Only One for the Next Four Years.
Our Original Website: The Prayer Foundation (prayerfoundation.org) Became a Phenomenon, Growing to 1,300 Webpages….Equivalent to 4,000 Printed Book Pages, or Twelve 350-Page Books
Early On, it went Viral, and has received Between 1.6 and 2.4 Million Page-Downloads Per Month for nearly all of the Past Two Decades

The two Co-Founders: Lay Monk Preston & Lay Monk Linda,
felt at the time, in 1999, that they were Founding not just the first Born Again Monastic Order on the Internet,
but that they were a part of what would become an entire movement, and this in fact proved to be the case.
They had yet to hear the term, “New Monasticism,” and wondered what this New Movement would be called?

S.G. Preston Ministries™ is a 100% volunteer International, Interdenominational Para-Church (called alongside to help) Organization.
No Member, from the Co-Founders and Board of Directors on down, receives any Salaries or Compensation for their work with this Ministry.
The organization has never done any fund-raising mailings etc., but after the examples of George Muller, Hudson Taylor, and Francis & Edith Schaeffer, and many other Great Men and Women of Faith, simply has Members ask the Lord in Prayer to supply any needs.
