(Montmarte Cathedral, Paris) Visiting here in 1534, Ignatius, Francis Xavier, and six others Founded the "Society of Jesus," the Jesuit Order.
(Abbey of Montserrat, Spain) In 1522, Ignatius left his sword and dagger on the Abbey's altar, and exchanged his rich clothes for a beggar’s garment.
(A Japanese Castle) St. Ignatius sent St. Francis Xavier as a Missionary to India. Francis next traveled to China, and then became the first Missionary to Japan, where he led 2,000 Japanese to Christ. Pray for Japan: only 1-2.3% of Japanese are Christians. 60% of the population declare themselves to be either atheists or "not religious."
(St. Ignatius Loyola.) Martin of Tours, Francis of Assisi, Brother Lawrence, and Ignatius Loyola were all soldiers before giving their lives to Christ.

Prayer of St. Ignatius Loyola:  ______________________________________

O Lord, teach me to serve You as You deserve.   To give and not to count the cost.  To fight and not to heed the wounds.
To toil and not to seek for rest.
To labor and not to ask for any reward,

Except that of knowing that we do Your Will.  Through Jesus Christ our Lord,
Amen.

Francis Xavier Quotes:

“Be great in small things.”

“When trying to evangelize,
no tool is more effective,
than that of personal witness.

…People can argue with points of doctrine,
but no-one can argue
with a personal testimony!”   ________________

Prayer of St. Francis Xavier:

Why, where do you get your confidence that you will live so long?”

A Prayer of St. Ignatius Loyola:

“Take, Lord, and receive all my liberty,
my memory, my understanding,
and my entire will, all I have and call my own.

You have given all to me.
To you, Lord, I return it.

Everything is yours; do with it what you will.

Give me only your love and your grace,
that is enough for me.”

-St. Ignatius Loyola (1491-1556)
