-Psalm 119:130

Nine Affirmations (Precious Promises)

“These are verses that I personally selected and have Memorized.

When I pray them (nearly every day), I only pray the verses themselves — not the Headings and Verse References.

Because they are such “precious promises” (2 Peter 1:1-4), I quote them so often that Lay Monk Linda asked me to write all nine down on Memory Cards for her to Memorize.

Index Cards cut into four pieces work great for this.  I wrote each Verse on one side of the Card, and its Scripture reference on the back.

“…think on these things.”

“Simon Peter, a servant and an Apostle of Jesus Christ, to those that have obtained like precious faith with us through the righteousness of God, and our Savior Jesus Christ:

Grace and peace be multiplied to you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord;

according as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness,

through the knowledge of Him that has called us to glory and virtue;

By which are given to us exceedingly great and precious promises:

that by these you might be partakers of the divine nature,

having escaped the corruption that is in the world from evil desires.”
